Pseudobombax ellipticum

*Adenium obesum* is a perennial succulent plant belonging to the genus *Adenium* in the family Malvaceae, native to Mexico. Its stem base swells into irregular blocks, with grayish-white bark featuring light green mottling and cracks for water storage. The short, apical branches grow under 1 meter tall, bearing palmate compound leaves with five ovate or elliptical leaflets that shed during dormancy. In early spring, white or pale pink stamens radiate outward to form hemispherical inflorescences. This species thrives in warm, arid conditions with ample sunlight, tolerating drought but avoiding waterlogging, and prefers well-drained sandy loam soils.
