It has a soft woody root with a turtle like crack path, which can grow up to 30 centimeters in length. The stem can wrap and grow, and the leaves are wide oval shaped and heart-shaped. This plant is native to Mexico. Its flowers are deep chestnut colored and have a pentagonal star shape. The petals are covered with fluff and emit a smell similar to carrion.
