Characteristics
New branches are purplish-red in sufficient sunlight. If there is insufficient light, they are green. The maintenance of Portulacaria afra is relatively simple, but there are also some specific maintenance requirements. It likes sufficient sunlight but needs appropriate shading when it is excessively hot in summer.
