Growth & Care Features

Copiapoa haseltoniana native to foggy arid coastal gravel slopes of Chile, active growth in spring & summer, dormant under low temperature in winter. Thrives under full strong UV sunlight, cultivated in wide shallow pots with well-draining slightly alkaline grit soil, extremely drought-resistant with low rot damage during long enclosed sea freight in dormancy.

Ornamental & Collectible Value

Rare distinctive coastal collectible copiapoa
Copiapoa haseltoniana features exclusive silvery-white waxy bloom epidermis and spiral scale-like ribs, differentiating it from dark copiapoa varieties such as Copiapoa cinerea. With distinctive pale yellow sturdy spines and creamy pale flowers, it grows extremely slowly, and mature large clumping specimens are scarce. It is a core treasure for global copiapoa collectors and irreplaceable by mass-produced common cacti.

Natural stone sculpture ornamental texture
The rounded stem covered with matte silvery wax coating delivers layered texture viewing of epidermis, ribs and spines all year round. Pale yellow blossoms bloom atop the crown in summer, integrating triple ornamental highlights: stem, spine and flower.

Parent stock for professional crossbreeding
Copiapoa haseltoniana carries stable genetic traits of silvery skin, spiral ribs and pale spines, serving as core breeding stock for developing light-toned new copiapoa strains.
