About maintenance

1. Lunalian prefers a warm, dry, sunny and ventilated environment.

The greater the temperature difference between day and night, the more sunlight, the more beautiful the leaf color will be. Spring is the period when Lunaria grows vigorously. Sufficient light will help the leaves to become fuller. In the hot summer, there will be a short period of dormancy. It should not be exposed to the sun to prevent the leaves from being burned by the scorching sun. It needs to be protected from light and ventilated. In winter, keep the room temperature no lower than 5 degrees, and try to get as much sun as possible to help Lunaline survive the winter!

2. Apply water and fertilizer properly

Lunarian is drought tolerant and likes a dry environment, with little need for water and fertilizer. Apply granular fertilizer once a season and spread it on the pot surface, and stop fertilizing during the dormant period. During the growth period, you can water more to keep the soil moist, and do not allow water to accumulate in the pot soil to prevent root rot. In cold winter, you can keep Lunalian warm and get more sun, and at the same time, water it sparingly. When the temperature is around 10 degrees, pour a little water, and when the temperature is below 0∽5 degrees, cut off the water.

3. Mix soil

Generally make loose, fertile, well-drained sandy soil. The soil for potting is mixed with leaf mold soil and coarse sand at a ratio of 1:1. Add a little bone meal when placing it in the pot to adjust the fertility of the soil.

Lunarian also needs to change the potting soil every spring in March and April to trim its roots and disinfect the potting soil. This is the key to improving the survival of succulent roots in the pot. Soft and fertile soil is more conducive to Lunarian's good growth and strong roots. The leaves are beautiful.
