About Echeveria 'German Champagne'

Echeveria 'German Champagne', a member of the Crassulaceae family, has long, spatulate leaves with flat or slightly concave surfaces, acute tips with short red apices, and distinctive keel-like projections on the back of the leaves, as well as a thin layer of glaucous farina throughout. It is a standard rosette-shaped plant with a dark pink center.

How to Care for Echeveria 'German Champagne'

Sun/Location: A warm, dry environment with plenty of light and the right temperature difference is ideal for Echeveria succulents. As long as the temperature is suitable, it can be kept outdoors, except in the summer when the temperature is high and proper cooling and shading are required. During the winter, Echeveria 'German Champagne' should be moved indoors when the temperature drops below 9°F. Click here to learn how to prepare succulents before summer.

Soil/Pot: Echeveria 'German Champagne' is relatively drought-tolerant and prefers a loose, well-drained succulent soil mix, at least half granular, mixed with some leaf litter or peat soil. Shallow planter pots with drainage holes are appropriate for live succulents to thrive.

Watering: Let the soil dry completely before watering, rather than soaking it. There is no need to cut off water in summer if the plant is already in a state of water control.
