Euphorbia schizacantha is a rare succulent plant in the Euphorbiaceae family, native to northeastern Africa (Somalia, Ethiopia, and northeastern Kenya). It grows in rocky soil at high altitudes, reaching 30-60 cm tall with a main stem up to 50 cm high and 6 cm thick. The most distinctive feature is its double-pronged "harpoon-shaped" spines, giving it the common name "Harpoon Spurge". It has dark and light green longitudinally striped cylindrical branches that are erect at first then drooping. It produces small red flowers when blooming.
